Spring-time in Brighton

I love living by the seaside – I have a feeling I might have mentioned that before! The sky and sea are so changeable and when the sun shines – as it is doing today – you feel as though you’re on holiday…

Though actually, I’m not on holiday, I am writing! Yes, my new book idea is coming along very well and I hope to share more about that soon: but feeling slightly superstitious about it right now. In the meantime, I’ve been over at The 5:2 Diet Book site giving that a very thorough spring-clean, and also recording some great free podcast interviews with people who, like me, have had great experiences with intermittent fasting!

The LieStars

I’ve also been reading some great new books – and I have to tell you that my two top picks right now are very different but both brilliant in their own ways: the first is The Lie by C.L. Taylor, a brilliantly dark tale of friendship, revenge and escaping the past… it’s so gripping and unpredictable, you’d better not start it when you have anything else planned. It’s going to be a hit! The second is We Are All Made of Stars by Rowan Coleman – I loved The Memory Book last year (and so did many, many others) but if anything, I’d say Stars is even better. Moving, intelligent, thought-provoking and incredibly human.

Kate,It looks lovely there on the beach at Brighton. Have never been there myself. Maybe one day. Downloaded your latest book Batch made in Heaven and look forward to reading it. Keep up with your writing as well as our 5:2 groups. I’m sure I will enjoy it like your previous books I’ve read. Wishing you all the very best wishes. Jacqueline Baird. (Jacqui )
